The total IKEA Development Project area is approximately 47 acres, and the upland portion of the site is 22 acres.  The site work required 170,000 cy of imported fill, foundation excavation, and the installation of 15,000 lf of underground utilities consisting of watermain, sanitary pipe and storm lines.

The Marine work included reconstruction of 3,500 lf of existing shoreline.  Installation of 1560 lf of new sheetpile bulkhead with tie back supports combined with the installation of 1360 lf of new pile supported concrete platform.  Installation of a Ferry Landing that included 4 Articulating Passenger Ramps and pile supported Bumper Sets.  Offshore work included demolition and removal of two floating dry docks and dredging of Erie Basin
