Springfield GardensEIC was awarded three (3) overlapping projects by the NYCEDC in the Springfield Gardens, area of Queens, NY, near JFK Airport. The projects consisted of new water mains, sanitary and storm sewer systems, including both cast-in-place and precast box culverts measuring 9’-0” to 16’-6” by   5’-0” high (inside dimensions). The projects included reconstruction of almost 12 miles of streets. One of the projects included a storm sewer outfall and reconstruction of wetlands. This project was named the 2004 Environmental Project of the Year by New Your Construction Magazine.
